Project Manager - Data Analysis for Platform Development

About the Team
The data analysis team is dedicated to facilitating the flow of information among all stakeholders through analysis. Since its inception, the department has been building and operating a robust data analysis platform that supports decision-making for management and business divisions alike.
Role Objective
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to ensure the stable operation and evolution of their data analysis platform. This role will oversee the maintenance of existing systems, coordinate stakeholder requests, and lead initiatives to enhance the platform's capabilities for supporting company-wide decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Oversee projects and initiatives related to the platform infrastructure.
- Develop and execute annual development plans for the platform.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather, organize, and prioritize system requests.
- Facilitate regular meetings and summarize outcomes for stakeholders.
- System Maintenance & Development:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the platform.
- Coordinate data integration efforts with product development and data engineering teams.
- Lead improvement initiatives and test reviews for platform optimization.
- Strategic Vision:
- Proactively shape the future of the data analysis platform by identifying opportunities for innovation and involving key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- 2+ years of experience in data-related work, including requirement definition, data extraction, aggregation, and data visualization.
- Experience in team development and participating in data mart development projects (preferably in the design/development phase).
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and processing.
- Language Skills:
- English: TOEIC score of 700+ or equivalent proficiency.
- Japanese: Business level (N1 or above).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Git/GitHub (or GitLab) for development.
- Developing and operating data warehouses or marts using AWS/GCP.
- Workflow engines such as Airflow for job execution.
- Data modeling tools like dbt or dataform.
- BI tools such as Tableau or Looker for dashboard creation.
