Key Mission of the Role:
The E-Commerce & Omni-channel Technology Lead oversees the technical operations of the company's digital commerce and omni-channel platforms. This role focuses on strategic planning, system architecture, project management, and production support, ensuring the continuous enhancement of digital infrastructure across APAC region. The position is crucial for maintaining the seamless operation and evolution of IT systems supporting the digital commerce landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic IT Planning & Architecture: Design and implement IT strategies that align with business objectives, emphasizing system architecture and technological innovation in digital commerce and omni-channel environments.
  • Technical Project Management: Lead IT projects to implement and enhance digital commerce and omni-channel systems, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget constraints.
  • System Integration & Production Support: Manage the integration and support of key systems, including web & app platforms, OMS, SAP Retail etc., ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Team Leadership & People Management: Supervise a team member in Japan, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Business & Technical Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to align IT solutions with business needs, reporting to the APAC Business Application Director in Shanghai and providing dotted line support to the Head of Japan IT.
  • Projects & Scope: Manage IT projects supporting the company's digital commerce and omni-channel strategy across APAC region. Projects may include system upgrades, integration of new technologies, and optimization of IT infrastructure to support digital

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Japanese is essential for effective communication with global and local teams.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in designing and implementing IT strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on digital commerce and omni-channel environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Hands-on experience with integrating and supporting key systems such as OMS and SAP Retail etc.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring team members in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure IT solutions meet business needs.
  • Experience in managing projects across the APAC region, including system upgrades and technology integration.
