We are looking for a Vice President to join our Credit Risk Management team in Tokyo. This role involves managing a portfolio of corporate and financial institution clients, ensuring strong risk management practices. The successful candidate will be key in credit and risk-related decisions and improving risk management processes. Key Responsibilities:

• - Manage a portfolio of 40-50 corporate and financial institution credit groups.
• - Review and approve credit proposals, prepare credit reports, and handle credit documentation.
• - Support commercial banking and capital market products like loans, trade finance, and derivatives.
• - Conduct due diligence, market monitoring, and site visits to evaluate risk.
• - Create and implement strategies for managing counterparty and industry risk.
• - Work with auditors during audits and inquiries.
• - Guide junior team members, fostering a strong risk culture.

Qualifications and Experience:

• - 5-6 years in credit risk management, with a focus on derivatives and structured transactions.
• - Knowledge in distressed debt, restructuring, and risk mitigation documentation.
• - Fluent in Japanese and English, with strong communication skills.
• - Bachelor's degree required; formal credit training or CFA is preferred.
• - Ability to manage complex transactions independently.
