IT Manager - Japan Office (Tokyo)

Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a skilled IT Manager to lead and manage technology operations within their Japan office. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless system functionality, and supporting the overall business growth. You will manage the IT team, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate closely with both local and global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, including servers, computers, networks, and office equipment such as telephony and copiers. Ensure all systems are running efficiently and meet organizational needs.
Lead and mentor the IT team, promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Provide technical support and guidance to resolve issues effectively.
Ensure that all IT systems meet ISO standards and client audit requirements, supporting ongoing compliance efforts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for IT matters with both global teams and external clients. Work with internal departments to address IT-related issues and contribute to the smooth operation of business activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of managing Windows PCs, Office 365, and Active Directory systems.
- Familiarity with Linux server management is a plus.
- Non Japanese native - Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1 or higher) for audit support and local stakeholder communication.
- For Japanese native - Business level in English for effective communication with global teams.
- Hands-on experience with managing servers, networks, telephony systems, and office equipment.
