Job Summary:
I am seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Technology Transformation Lead (Cybersecurity) to join our client's Information Security department. This crucial role focuses on driving the organization's technological advancements to stay ahead of rapidly evolving cyberthreats. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and integrating cutting-edge technologies, developing robust cybersecurity strategies, and ensuring the highest standards of security are maintained. Central to this role is strong financial management to oversee and evaluate technology solutions and vendor relationships for optimal return on investment. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Budget Oversight: Manage the financial planning and budgeting for technology solutions, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis and ROI assessments for technology investments to ensure long-term value.
- Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising on security or performance.
- Vendor Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of vendor relationships, ensuring contractual compliance and value delivery.
- Long-term Financial Planning: Develop and maintain long-term financial strategies for technology investments, ensuring sustainable growth and return.
Research and Technology Integration:
- Technology Scouting: Continuously research and identify emerging technologies that can preemptively address potential cyberthreats and enhance our security infrastructure.
- Implementation Leadership: Oversee the entire lifecycle of technology integration, from initial research and assessment through to implementation and post-deployment evaluation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including IT, operations, and security to ensure seamless integration and alignment with organizational goals.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing relationships to ensure the best value and performance.
Cybersecurity Strategy Development:
- Strategy Formulation: Develop comprehensive, forward-looking cybersecurity strategies that address both current and future threats.
- Policy and Procedure Enhancement: Regularly review and enhance security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Incident Response Planning: Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure quick and effective responses to security breaches or threats.
Stakeholder Influence and Collaboration:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to operational teams.
- Clear Communication: Communicate complex technical information in fluent Japanese, ensuring all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the benefits and implications of proposed technologies and strategies.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support and advance technology transformation initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cybersecurity and technology transformation.

Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management, or financial management are a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in leading technology transformation projects, preferably within an information security context. Experience in managing technology budgets and vendor relationships is essential.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Japanese, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English is also a must.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices. Familiarity with financial analysis and budgeting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Certifications: Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or similar are advantageous.
- Cross-Disciplinary Experience: Experience in technology introduction and management within various organizational contexts, including non-IT sectors.
