A Financial Technology company in Japan is looking for a Data Engineer. The selected candidate will use data to provide insights for business and product decisions for a major Japanese FinTech company.

You must be based in Japan, but you have the opportunity to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze data and create reports.
• Set up and manage systems for data collection and analytics.
• Clean and organize data from various sources to meet business needs.
• Find trends in data to improve products.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in data engineering, software development, or related fields.
• Experience with report generation, ETLs, databases, and data systems such as Postgres, Cassandra, and Kafka.
• Knowledge of Python, Java, and Scala.
• Business-level English and good communication skills.
• Experience with fintech applications is a plus.
