After obtaining a degree in business studies from Bournemouth University, he joined the middle office of a global investment bank. He then took on a number of banking-related positions in different firms, including working as operations manager for a buy-side investment management firm in Melbourne. He relocated to Singapore to recruit within the banking sector.
