Senior IT Infrastructure Operations Manager

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, cloud specialists, and operations professionals.
- Develop and implement an infrastructure strategy that aligns with business goals and IT objectives.
- Provide guidance on cloud architecture, design patterns, and best practices for AWS environments.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, and RDS.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of systems, ensuring adherence to organizational SLAs.
- Optimize AWS infrastructure cost while maintaining performance, security, and compliance.
- Ensure infrastructure complies with internal and external security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the security team to enforce best practices for IAM, encryption, and security protocols.
- Manage daily operations of cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring uptime, performance, and capacity planning.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud infrastructure.
- Lead monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response activities to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with IT teams, including DevOps, Development, and Security, to support organizational objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure needs into application development workflows.
- Provide regular project updates to senior leadership, addressing challenges and progress.
- Hire, mentor, and foster development within the infrastructure team, promoting continuous learning and innovation.
- Conduct performance reviews and set team goals to drive improvement and achievement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Fluent/business English and native in Japanese
- Proven experience in cloud infrastructure migration, AWS architecture, systems administration, and cloud networking.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services and best practices for optimization and security.
