Senior Finance Manager (FP&A, 15M JPY, Retail industry)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager with expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for a top company in the retail industry. This role requires someone who can think strategically to improve financial performance in a fast-paced global environment. You will work closely with regional stakeholders and various teams to provide valuable financial insights and support strategic projects. Key Responsibilities:

- Create and analyze weekly and monthly sales reports to give timely insights to stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly variance reports comparing actual results to forecasts, budgets, and prior-year numbers.
- Lead the quarterly forecasting process and manage the annual budgeting cycle, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Work with the Strategy Team on long-term business planning and track outcomes against strategic goals.
- Partner with the Accounting Team to manage monthly closing, focusing on quality and meeting deadlines.
- Provide high-quality reports to support informed decision-making and business growth.
- Work with Brand and Finance Business Partners to ensure marketing expenses meet financial targets.
- Collaborate with HR to manage personnel costs and provide detailed analyses for effective cost control.
- Analyze logistics costs with the Supply Chain Management team to implement cost-control measures.
- Lead ad-hoc financial analyses and create financial models to support business decisions.
- Mentor and guide team members to improve performance and foster a high-performance environment.

Qualifications:

- Over 15 years of experience in Finance, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Strong skills in financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
- Experience with SAP EPP systems is a plus.
- Interest in outdoor or sports activities is a bonus.
- Ability to adapt and work in fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving results.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and work well under pressure.
