Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing Sector)

The successful candidate will work directly with production teams to optimize and implement design solutions for high-volume manufacturing lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and improve mechanical components and production systems, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Conduct feasibility studies, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and detailed mechanical analysis for new and existing products.
- Oversee the creation of detailed mechanical drawings and specifications using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into manufacturing, including conducting Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical design issues during the product lifecycle, ensuring minimal downtime in production.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes by applying lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and Kaizen activities to enhance quality and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing or automotive sector.
- Proficiency with CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with FEA tools like ANSYS.
- Hands-on experience with high-volume manufacturing processes, including assembly lines, machining, and quality control.
- MUST be fluent in Japanese.
