International Trade & Customs Manager (Global consulting group)
We are seeking an International Trade & Customs Manager for a leading consulting firm in Tokyo. You'll be tasked with managing import and export compliance, reducing trade costs, and improving supply chain efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- - Work with regional teams and other practices to deliver various projects.
- - Investigate customs and trade issues, offering strategic import/export compliance advice.
- - Provide expertise in customs valuation, classification, Free Trade Agreements, and Japan-specific trade rules; find ways to improve trade efficiency and compliance.
- - Implement global trade automation solutions when needed.
- - Assist Managers and Senior Managers with client portfolios and marketing.
- - Contribute to business development and practice improvements.
Qualifications:
- - At least 6 years in customs and trade consulting or industry.
- - Deep knowledge of Japan's customs and export control regulations.
- - Ability to integrate customs rules into complex business processes.
- - Experience in a Big 4 firm or a trading firm (preferred)
- - Must be fluent in Japanese.
