Head Chef (Chinese cuisine, premium hotel restaurant)
Our client are a high-end, boutique hotel, with an upcoming restaurant opening.
The restaurant will specialize in Chinese cuisine. Our client are recruiting a Head Chef to lead the entire kitchen team.
This is a rare chance to take a senior leadership role in the pre-opening of a new restaurant. You'll also be provided overseas training opportunities as part of your onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Manage all kitchen operations.
- - Manage service staff
- - Maintain high standards in meal preparation and presentation for customer satisfaction.
- - Manage restaurant budget (eg. food costs, payroll).
- - Manage kitchen equipment and facilities.
- - Train kitchen staff regularly to improve their skills and performance.
- - Help develop menus and set prices
- - Manage seasonal food and beverage availability.
- - Handle supplier orders; check quality and quantity of deliveries.
- - Prepare monthly profit and loss reports.
- - Other special projects for restaurant & process improvement.
Qualifications:
- - Relevant kitchen experience.
- - Expertise in Chinese cuisine.
- - Leadership & people management skills.
- - Experience in budgeting and cost control (preferred).
- - Menu development (preferred).
- - Fluency in Japanese.
