Finance Business Partner (10m JPY, Hybrid, Retail Industry)


We are working with a growing company in the retail sector looking for a Finance Business Partner. This role offers a flexible work setup with two days of remote work per week and flextime, perfect for those who value work-life balance. You will play a key role in improving financial performance and providing strategic support to the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the annual and multi-year financial planning to set realistic performance goals.
- Manage weekly and monthly forecasts to ensure they are accurate and align with strategic goals.
- Provide expert financial advice to business leaders, especially the Wilson Brand team in Japan, to support sound financial and business decisions.
- Oversee the discount approval process and conduct detailed result analyses.
- Perform financial analyses and create models for recommendations and business cases.
- Monitor operating expenses to ensure budget compliance and improve productivity.
- Guide the approval process for new store openings, including P&L forecasts and CAPEX management.
- Oversee major marketing investments with effective pre and post-control measures.
- Manage budget and quarterly forecasting to ensure realistic P&L forecasts.
- Build strong relationships with local brand teams and other functions to ensure timely support.

Qualifications:

- Over 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
- Success in a dynamic, multinational environment.
- Expertise in forecasting and financial analysis, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
- Entrepreneurial mindset focused on continuous improvement and results.
- Business-level English; fluency in Japanese is required.
- Familiarity with SAP EPP systems.
