Job Title: Associate or Assistant Manager, Client Development

Reports to: Manager, Client Development
Job Purpose:
Support client development initiatives and foster a strong culture of client engagement. Collaborate with teams across marketing, CRM, training, merchandising, IT, and retail to retain existing clients and attract high-potential new ones, driving customer loyalty and sales growth.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute client events (in-store and external) to engage and develop relationships with new, repeat, and VIP clients.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to enhance event strategies and promotions.
- Manage the annual gifting plan across retail and outlet channels using internal systems.
- Customize global client initiatives for the local market, collaborating with the headquarters and learning from other regions.
- Work with local teams in marketing, retail, and legal to develop and implement event strategies with clear business goals.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring quality and timely execution.
- Build relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in client development, event coordination, or related roles; sales experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English (TOEIC 750+).
- Strong interest in marketing trends and the ability to create initiatives from scratch.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in luxury or related industries is a plus.
- Interest in global cultures; experience living abroad is beneficial.
