Civil Engineer - Solar Asset Management / Renewable Energy

Our client are a major renewable energy company, recruiting a Civil Engineer with experience in Solar Asset Management.

You'll work on major projects to improve both the efficiency and sustainability of solar power plants.

Responsibilities:

• - Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for solar power plant locations, considering solar resources, land features, soil conditions, and environmental impacts.
• - Work with architects and structural engineers to design solar power plant layouts, including panel placement, support structures, access roads, and drainage systems.
• - Create engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulations.
• - Manage the permitting process, securing necessary approvals and ensuring compliance with zoning regulations, environmental permits, and land use agreements.
• - Oversee construction, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
• - Conduct quality assurance inspections.
• - Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure worker safety and regulatory compliance on construction sites.
• - Communicate with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and community members, to address concerns and maintain positive relationships.
• - Support the long-term operation and maintenance of solar power plants by developing maintenance plans and optimizing plant performance.

Requirements:

• - 8+ years of experience in civil engineering
• - Experience in infrastructure construction and maintenance
• - Experience in renewable energy
• - Experience in utility-scale solar industry (preferred).
• - Strong understanding of civil engineering principles (including structural analysis, foundation design, and construction materials).
• - Familiarity with solar power plant infrastructure components (like PV modules, racking systems, inverters, and substation equipment).
• - Must be fluent in Japanese.
