Senior Manager, Media, Brand Marketing Location: Tokyo, Japan
Primary Purpose: The Senior Manager, Media, Brand Marketing, is responsible for driving brand growth and achieving business goals through strategic media planning and execution. Collaborating with internal and external partners, this role ensures impactful media campaigns across all channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop annual and seasonal media plans aligned with business targets and brand KPIs.
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing to optimize content across platforms using the STDC framework.
- Strategically plan and oversee demand capture media, including SEM, SEO, and retargeting.
- Manage media budgets, purchase orders, and financial reconciliations.
- Lead media agency briefings, oversee campaign execution, and ensure ongoing optimizations.
- Partner with analytics teams for performance tracking and reporting.
- Apply market insights and media trends to refine strategies.
- Establish and monitor media KPIs.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in media planning, preferably within a media agency or in-house role.
- Strong knowledge of digital media, media buying, and performance analysis.
- Experience with mid to high-budget brands, ideally in FMCG.
- Bilingual in English and Japanese.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
