Treasury Manager (Hybrid, 11 M JPY, Retail Industry)

We are looking for an experienced Treasury Manager for our client in the retail industry. This hybrid position requires strong knowledge of financial operations and accounting. You'll have the opportunity to improve the organization's financial health and grow professionally in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and update cash flow using invoices and other documents, and provide bi-weekly financial reports.
- Manage foreign exchange contracts within budget limits.
- Ensure accounts receivable and payable are recorded accurately.
- Align spending with internal procurement processes.
- Improve working capital by enhancing collection and payment terms.
- Communicate with banks to ensure smooth operations, payments, collections, and hedging activities.
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts for balance sheets and cash flow, and analyze any differences.
- Manage customer credit limits and insurance for the wholesale business.
- Optimize insurance policies to reduce business risks and ensure compensation for losses.
- Update accounting systems and revise internal rules as needed.
- Lead staff in achieving accurate financial closings, provide financial analysis, and recommend improvements.
- Conduct financial closings according to IFRS standards.
- Ensure financial statements comply with SOX, statutory, and IFRS requirements.
- Manage ledger accounts and analyze data to produce accurate financial and tax reports.
- Oversee fixed assets, IFRS16, and inventory accounting.
- Ensure accurate balance sheet recording, including reconciling receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Work with auditors to ensure proper execution and reporting of SOX controls.

Qualifications and Skills:

- At least 10 years of experience in finance and accounting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and JGAAP accounting standards.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Ability to apply financial and accounting knowledge effectively.
- Strong communication skills for negotiation and coordination.
- Attention to detail for accurate data analysis.
- Proactive and curious to identify challenges and drive improvements.
