A global name in financial services firm in Tokyo is hiring a Senior Payments Specialist. The role focuses on managing JPY and foreign currency payments via SWIFT and BOJ Net systems, leading local and offshore teams, and overseeing complex transactions.


Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize payment operations, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks through process improvements and effective outsourcing strategies.
• Provide strategic guidance to enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop team capabilities through training and performance management.
• Maintain adherence to internal controls and compliance regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Japanese banks and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of payment and FX transactions, including FXYCS and regulatory reporting.
• Proven experience in banking operations, especially in fast-paced environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on delivering results and solving problems.
