Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate as an active member of the Delivery Team to oversee the Electrical Fit out works
    with the Electrical sub-contractor to deliver the agreed Electrical equipment and ensure the
    correct performance of the Data center.
  • Review and comment on all electrical designs.
  • Calculate and review electrical room space
  • Review and comment on SHV supply cabling and installation by TEPCO.
  • Attend weekly Design meetings on site, attend Bunka kai, and take the lead in Electrical
    discussions.
  • Provide Management with updates and suggestions on reducing costs.
  • Act as the representative for all TEPCO matters and attend meeting with TEPCO on EHV
    power provisioning..
  • Attend weekly and monthly meetings as the Certified Electrical engineer on-site.
  • Review and study major Electrical equipment and its specifications.
  • Attend Factory Witness Tests for key electrical equipment.
  • Participate in L1 to L5 on-site T&C for the DC by the Third party Commissioning agent
  • Review ARC Flash study reports conducted by an external 3rd party.
  • Review and comment on breaker coordination studies, fault current calculations, and similar
    conducted by an external consultant.
  • Participate in L5-L6 IST & Commissioning Testing and preparing the facility to transition to
    operations.
  • Provide guidance for the preparation of the Power Ramp up chart to be submitted to TEPCO.

Required Experience:

  • Certified Second Class Electrical Engineer.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Extra High voltage Electrical systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Electrical codes, standards, and Electrical Safety regulations in Japan.
  • Experience in attending meetings with TEPCO and acting as the representative for all
    TEPCO matters.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Experience in reviewing and studying major Electrical equipment and providing comments.
  • Experience in participating in on-site testing and commissioning for Electrical equipment.
