Merchandiser - Luxury Fashion

Overview:
A prestigious luxury brand is seeking a Merchandiser to join its team in Japan. This role is ideal for an Allocator looking to take the next step in their career and gain hands-on experience in merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct buying activities based on customer trends and feedback from store staff to ensure alignment with market demands.
• Prepare order sheets, verify order confirmations, and address discrepancies with the global team.
• Manage Special Orders (Made-to-Order), including placing orders and overseeing delivery.
• Research and analyze market trends to identify opportunities and report on product tendencies in the Japanese fashion market.
• Prepare and analyze sales-related reports, including weekly and monthly sell-through reports.
• Coordinate product-related issues, such as quality control and administrative tasks.
• Optimize stock levels by collaborating with the Sales team to secure timely deliveries and transfers between stores.
• Minimize sales losses by managing store-to-store stock transfers.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of allocation or merchandising experience within the retail fashion industry.
• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively with figures.
• Proficiency in English (business level).
• Advanced computer skills, particularly in SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database software.
