We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel with a focus on Marketing & Digital to provide legal support and manage risks for our client's APMEA North division.

This role is key in guiding legal strategies for marketing, data privacy, and digital activities, ensuring they meet Japanese regulations and company policies. Join us to help shape the legal landscape of a major global tobacco company, engage in important negotiations, and support strategic projects. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice on marketing plans, digital projects, and consumer engagement, ensuring compliance with data privacy laws.

- Work closely with marketing, trade, and digital teams to align legal standards with business goals.

- Lead the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements, focusing on strategic partnerships.

- Identify and manage potential governance and compliance issues to ensure strong risk management.

- Manage a team of two legal professionals, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

- Fluent in English and Japanese, with strong legal drafting skills in Japanese.

- Experience in complex contract negotiations, including international deals.

- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills for effective communication with stakeholders.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results under pressure.

- Proven leadership skills, with a focus on team development and motivation.
