IT Omni Channel Lead

We are seeking an experienced IT Omni Channel Lead for a top retail company in Tokyo.


This important role involves leading omnichannel projects and managing local IT initiatives in Japan. You will work with both global and local IT teams and different departments to improve omnichannel capabilities and optimize corporate IT programs.

Key Responsibilities


- Implement global solutions tailored for the Japanese retail market using platforms like LINE for customer engagement and PayPay for online payments.
- Lead the OmniRetail community by finding new ideas, sharing best practices, and promoting effective solutions across departments.
- Build and manage relationships with local vendors to support OmniRetail projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Promote cultural collaboration and information sharing within Japan and with regional and headquarters teams.
- Serve as the contact for Group Information Systems, focusing on Finance and HR, managing local deployments like SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA.
- Communicate Japan-specific needs to headquarters, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Work with HR and finance teams to support change management and program rollouts.

Qualifications


- Over 8 years of experience in EC/Store IT, OMS, POS, or Payment Solutions projects, preferably in retail.
- Strong project management skills, with knowledge in ERP, Finance, and HR Information Systems being a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset focused on delivering effective IT solutions.
- Customer-oriented and skilled at navigating complex international environments.
- Self-motivated with the ability to build effective communities across diverse teams.
- Fluent in English and proficient in business-level Japanese; French is a plus.
