IT Digital Solution Business Analyst - Shinjuku, Global Retail

Position Overview
Our client is looking for a proactive and technically minded Digital Solutions Business Technical Analyst to support and enhance internal business systems/application and customer interfacing digital solutions. This role sits at the intersection of business operations and technology, working closely with global teams, local stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure our systems meet business needs, operate reliably, and continue to evolve effectively.

The ideal candidate has experience gathering and translating business requirements, supporting systems or applications in a production environment, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver results. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in business analysis, application support, or technical product coordination to evolve further.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Technical Analysis

  • Collect and document business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Work with technical teams to translate requirements into actionable tasks.
  • Participate in the design review and validation of technical solutions.

System Support & Enhancement

  • Monitor system performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of system issues.
  • Support software release planning, testing, and user adoption efforts.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as a liaison between business users, development teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementations.
  • Communicate updates and technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Process & Documentation

  • Define and document configuration standards, workflows, and support processes.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments for new solutions.
  • Develop and share training materials and support documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a technical business analysis, application support, or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Experience working across multiple systems or platforms.

Preferred

  • Experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, system integration, or software testing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Native in Japanese, otherwise N2 as a minimum and business English
  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field is helpful but not required.
