Internal Auditor (Hybrid Role, up to 9Mil salary)

We are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to help improve risk management and governance in Japan and Korea. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective internal controls in a fast-paced market. You will work partly from home, with two remote days per week, and travel occasionally within the Asia Pacific region.


Key Responsibilities:

• - Review internal controls annually across Asia Pacific branches, spot areas for improvement, and verify self-assessment results.
• - Handle internal and financial letters to ensure regional compliance with company policies.
• - Develop and update internal control policies to meet global standards and local laws.
• - Work with teams during audits and help implement corrective actions.
• - Investigate fraud risks, find control weaknesses, and put in place solutions.
• - Manage the Delegation of Authority (DOA) and Segregation of Duties (SOD) frameworks.
• - Lead training sessions to raise awareness and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• - Support special projects by providing insights on internal controls for new business initiatives and IT solutions.

Qualification:

• - At least 8 years' experience in internal control and auditing, focusing on business operations.
• - Skilled in auditing within wholesale, sales, marketing, or supply chain areas.
• - Background in external auditing and knowledge of Power BI.
• - Strong analytical and presentation skills, able to communicate complex information effectively to senior management.
• - Experienced in fostering continuous improvement and solving problems creatively.
• - Able to handle complex challenges with practical solutions.
• - Strong persuasion and stakeholder engagement skills.
• - Experience in international or Asia Pacific markets is a plus.
• - Experience in the Wines & Spirits industry is beneficial.
• - Fluent in English and Japanese; Korean language skills are a plus.
• - Willing to travel 20-30% annually.
