We are recruiting a Front Office Manager for a hotel client based in Niseko, Hokkaido. The successful applicant will manage front desk operations, enhance guest services, and facilitate effective communication across departments.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese would be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team & supervise all front office functions.
- Train staff to uphold company standards and procedures & foster a service-centric culture.
- Set performance goals for direct reports.
- Address guest requests and issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Liaise with housekeeping for efficient operations.
- Keep updated knowledge of prices, rates, specials, packages, and train staff accordingly.
- Follow established procedures for guest identification and credit checks.
- Guide Duty Managers for efficient task completion.
- Complete necessary reports and forms daily.
- Work with the Property Asset Manager on operations, cash handling, and inventory replacements.
- Implement crisis management plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Effective leadership skills.
- Experience in staff supervision, training, and development.
- Commitment to guest service.
- Ability to maintain operational efficiency.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in Japanese would be beneficial; conversational level is okay.
