Data and Analytics Manager/Senior Manager
We are seeking a Data and Analytics Manager/Senior Manager for a leading FMCG company in Tokyo. This role involves leading a team of data scientists, engineers, and business intelligence experts to improve data and analytics products for key business units. You will be joining a global organization focused on innovation and sustainability, promoting a diverse and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- - Lead a team to develop and improve data and analytics solutions.
- - Serve as the main contact for data initiatives between business unit leaders and global analytics teams.
- - Help executives understand and use data insights to boost business results.
- - Manage the entire lifecycle of data products, from design to maintenance.
- - Align business goals with data analytics capabilities.
- - Implement data governance and management standards.
- - Promote the use of data analytics tools within the company.
- - Evaluate the return on investment from analytics projects.
- - Work with different teams to maintain and implement a data strategy.
- - Prioritize and manage data projects to meet organizational needs.
- - Solve challenges in delivering analytics solutions by working with delivery teams.
- - Set and report on key performance indicators for data and analytics.
Qualifications:
- - Ability to understand complex business and strategy in a global setting, especially in Trade Marketing & Distribution.
- - Experience in marketing solutions supported by data analytics.
- - Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI), data modeling (Python or R), and data lake management.
- - Experience with Power BI, Python (or R), SQL, and Snowflake.
- - At least two years of experience managing a data analytics team.
- - Over four years of experience in developing data analytics systems using technologies like Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.
- - Fluent in English, with business-level Japanese; Korean or Chinese is a plus.
