Compliance Senior Officer - ED/SVP


We are looking for a Compliance Senior Officer at the Executive Director/Senior Vice President level for a leading financial services company. This role is key in the Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) team, focusing on creating and applying compliance strategies, policies, and frameworks to meet legal and internal standards.

Responsibilities:

• - Develop and maintain compliance programs, policies, and practices, adjusting ICRM strategies for global use.
• - Act as a subject matter expert, offering advice on regulatory requirements and compliance risks.
• - Track and assess regulatory changes and legal requirements, ensuring compliance and strategic actions.
• - Advise management and staff on compliance issues for effective regulatory and compliance management.
• - Engage in industry groups and forums to stay updated on compliance trends and regulatory changes.
• - Lead projects, including implementing new regulatory standards and managing audits and examinations.
• - Work with global teams across Legal, Risk, Operations, and Finance to promote a compliance-focused culture.

Qualifications:

• - Strong knowledge of compliance laws, regulations, risks, and processes.
• - Fluent in Japanese and English, with excellent communication skills.
• - Self-motivated with a flexible and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
• - High attention to detail, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• - Ability to lead and influence in a complex, multicultural organization.
• - Proven experience managing regulatory examinations and working with auditors and examiners.
• - Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or related certifications are a plus.
