Testimonials

Name: Ms. Ayako Mizumukai
Position: Governance, Risk and Compliance Officer
Company: E-commerce

I was contacted by several recruiting agents, but Beta Sin, the counselor with Specialized Group, has been by far the most supportive and trustworthy.

1) Please tell us about your career to date.

I worked at national research institutions as a research administrator. I did research on technology information, compliance related work, IP management and so on.

2) What triggered you to change jobs?

I consider switching my career to the private sector, because public institutions are influenced too much by the government fundings - budget, organizational change and personnel relocations have very little to do with our work results but mostly depends on the politics, which makes it difficult to keep up my motivation.

3) What were the decision-making factors for you to join the company that Specialized Group introduced to you?

i) Culture: Although the company is quite young, it has basically steady and mature atmosphere. However, at the same time, there still remains an energetic culture of a venture company as it used be, and I liked the mixture.

ii) Attitudes toward Employees: The company seems to treat their employees well, such as with good benefit programs, comfortable facilities etc. Also, throughout the interview process, I could sense the trust and sincerity from all the interviewers, which made me feel like working with them.

iii) Salary: They offered me a satisfying salary package.

4) Did anything about changing jobs make you uneasy?

As I had no job experiences at private companies, it was pretty difficult to find the positions that could match my career background and it was difficult to proceed to the interviews.

5) What did you think about the services given by Specialized Group?

I was contacted by several recruiting agents, but Beta Sin, (Beta Sin) the counselor with Specialized Group, has been by far the most supportive and trustworthy. As I mentioned above, it was not easy to find matching positions for me. However, she patiently tried to find and offer me some good positions, and every time I could proceed to the interview, she gave me helpful advice and encouraged me. Her positive attitude and kind words always made me feel comfortable. Without her, I might not have found a suitable position yet, so it was really fortunate to work with her. Also, she always answered my email promptly. Since speed is an important factor in finding a job, I could rely on her very well.

6) Do you have a message for those changing jobs?

Though your career background doesn't seems to match many positions, please don't give up. There should always be a position that does match you, and one is enough after all.
